Varshini was born and raised in the Bay Area, and she never truly knew what seasons were before moving to New York City for college. There, she bought her first winter coat and studied environmental engineering and political science at Columbia University, graduating cum laude and Tau Beta Pi. Following graduation, Varshini worked for New York State, focusing on clean energy and climate change mitigation. She is now a student at Yale Law School and is committed to a career in service of the public interest.
Varshini has worked with students of all ages and across a variety of disciplines. As an undergraduate, she tutored middle and high school students, and while self-studying for the LSAT, she served as a tutor and teaching assistant for graduate-level engineering courses. She has also volunteered as a reading tutor for elementary school students. Varshini is passionate about mentorship and committed to providing individualized support to help demystify the world of undergraduate and graduate admissions. Her specialities include legal studies, environmental science, the PSAT and SAT, the LSAT, college admissions, and JD admissions.
In her spare time, Varshini frequents jazz and R&B concerts, supports an arts-education nonprofit based in New York City, and enjoys long (and slow) runs along the water.
