Zack is originally from Northwest Baltimore, 20 minutes outside of the city, and is a fan of both Ravens football and crab cakes, just as the movie “Wedding Crashers” astutely predicted. Zack graduated with a BA cum laude in Economics and a Foreign Language Citation in Catalan from Harvard College, after which he moved down the eastern seaboard where he spent 6 years working in investment banking and equity and credit investing. Zack is currently pursuing his MBA degree at Columbia Business School, where he is a Columbia Fellow. Zack is also proud to have passed all three CFA exams as of August 2018 and subsequently earned the CFA charter after 3 years and hundreds of hours of studying.
Zack has been tutoring informally in math and finance in various capacities over the past decade, including his high school senior project, where he taught various levels of math at his K-12 school, anywhere from elementary school math to AP Calculus for seniors. He is a huge fan of mental math, so if you are in need of tricks, he’ll be happy to share. Zack also served as a peer advisor to his classmates both at Harvard College and at Columbia Business School and is passionate about helping people achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals. His top math, verbal and writing scores on the SAT sum to 2320, and his top GMAT score is a 770.
In his spare time, Zack enjoys finishing a good CrossFit workout, trying new restaurants in New York City, traveling, and making friends with any new Corgi and Dachshund puppies he meets.
