Zifan spent his undergrad years on the left coast studying engineering and economics at USC with the aid of a Presidential Scholarship, then years later shifted to the right coast for Columbia University. While there, he earned dual degrees- an MBA from Columbia Business School and an MA Private School Leadership from Teachers College. Zifan has helped hundreds of students advance their learning since he was 15. He went full-time with his career in education after breaking from corporate America to teach various levels of math in middle and high schools. During 3 meaningful years in China, Zifan inspired in his students a deeper understanding of the importance of lifelong learning.
On the GMAT, Zifan has learned firsthand the amount of persistence and discipline required to achieve a result reflecting a student's highest potential, so he personalizes his teaching for the most effective interaction with each student.
In his spare time, Zifan loves to play games with friends. Zifan was first introduced to strategic tabletop games (not just Monopoly) while mending a broken heart but quickly grew to love the opportunity to outsmart his friends and laugh with strangers in a candid setting. Zifan would be satisfied if his students see the pressure of a high-stakes test as no more daunting than the prospect of settling Catan.
