He previously graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2018, where he double majored in Peace, War, and Defense and Economics, graduating with highest distinction and highest honors for his thesis on the effects of superhero movies on individual political views.

Varshini studied Environmental Engineering and Political Science at Columbia before working for New York State, focusing on clean energy and climate change mitigation. She now attends Yale Law School.
