Previously, she worked in philanthropy at The Ford Family Foundation in community economic development and in finance as a loan officer. She holds an Honors Bachelor of Science in Environmental Economics and Policy and an Honors Bachelor of Arts in International Studies.

Virginia graduated from Georgetown University with degrees in accounting and finance, obtained her CPA, and went on to work in public accounting and financial consulting in New York City. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Sophie holds an MPA in Public Administration from NYU and a BA in Comparative Literature from Dartmouth College. Outside of teaching, Sophie has spent her career working at the intersection of the public, private and nonprofit sectors to promote access to healthcare, education and employment.
