Andrey is originally from Toronto, a city that remains very dear to his heart. After attending several accelerated programs in school, he went on to graduate from the University of Toronto with a Math and Physics Specialist degree with High Distinction and a 3.97 GPA. He spent his undergraduate semesters doing problem sets and his summers doing research, which led him to pursue a PhD in Mathematics at MIT. His current work is in quantum computing and quantum information.
Andrey’s experiences as a tutor started in high school, but really flourished in university. He has worked as a TA for over half a dozen courses, including topics in mathematics, physics, computer science, and engineering. Andrey has also been a counselor and program director for several summer camps and has mentored a number of students in intense research programs. This combined experience includes learners of all ages, from elementary school students to undergraduates.
In his spare time, Andrey loves playing board games and video games, as well as doing puzzles and coding challenges.
