Carol graduated from Yale University with a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics, with distinction in the major. Her passion for education started when she was 12 and created a project to teach math to underprivileged children in Brazil, where she was born and raised. This interest was solidified during her high school years, when she designed a calculus curriculum for high school students, taught the course at her school, and developed a website to share her content. During college, she spent three years as an undergraduate learning assistant for Yale's introductory calculus course, spent a summer as an instructor for the Yale Young Global Scholars program, and volunteered at local pre-Ks and middle schools.
Carol has recently worked with one of Brazil's largest online educational content companies, helping students prepare for the country's college entrance exam. Currently, she works at an enrichment school teaching K-12 math and coding, and helps Brazilian high schoolers prepare their applications for American universities. Some of her students have been accepted to top universities, such as MIT, Yale, and Columbia.
In addition to teaching, Carol loves spending warm Miami days in the water, making pasta from scratch for her family, and playing relaxing board games with her friends.
