When Chai was 18, he had a street named after him in his hometown of Cathedral City, California. The gesture was made in recognition of Chai’s contributions to his community along with his academic excellence. Chai attended Stanford University, where he remained dedicated to maintaining good grades and to giving back to underserved communities whenever he could. While studying human biology at Stanford, he also volunteered as a Spanish interpreter in the Emergency Department, volunteered as a soccer coach for children with special needs, and served as a mentor to students in his hometown on their college admissions journeys. Chai, committed to a future in the medical field, enrolled in Harvard Medical School shortly after graduating from Stanford.
One of Chai’s greatest passions has been mentoring and tutoring young students. He has worked for years with high school students, designing curriculums for SAT/ACT tests, AP course options, and academic tutoring plans. At Cambridge Coaching, Chai spends most of his time as a standardized test prep tutor (SSAT/ISEE, ACT, and SAT) and tutoring biology and chemistry to all ages. He also has deep experience coaching applicants through the process of applying to medical school, focusing on their school list, messaging, and interview preparation.
In his free time, Chai loves participating in sports, playing his guitar, and watching Grey’s Anatomy on Netflix.
