Ivy D.

Bio

After living all around the world—Southern China, Texas, Paris, upstate New York, and Morocco—Ivy finds herself at home in Boston. She graduated with a BFA in fine arts and BAs in comparative literature, anthropology, and French from Cornell University (summa cum laude, with distinction). She was a Merrill Presidential Scholar and Phi Beta Kappa, and she was the recipient of numerous grants, fellowships, and essay awards. Ivy is now a PhD student in comparative literature at Harvard, where she is a Harvard Presidential Scholar and a Graduate Student Affiliate of Weatherhead Center for International Studies.

Having been a tutor for both the Cornell Summer School and Harvard Summer School, Ivy has worked with students from all backgrounds. She especially enjoys teaching writing, any humanities or social sciences subjects, and languages (Mandarin, Cantonese, English, and French). She has also worked with students to prepare for AP exams and standardized tests.

In her spare time, you can find Ivy learning languages, eating delicious food, and trying to get back into martial arts.
