Jacob is originally from Concord, Massachusetts, home of Henry David Thoreau’s Walden Pond, which Jacob loved swimming in and running around throughout his childhood. Jacob attended Harvard College, where he studied computer science. During this time, Jacob competed for all four years for Harvard’s Varsity Nordic Ski Team and served as Men’s captain during his senior year. Jacob also led outdoor trips for Harvard’s First-Year Outdoor Program and enjoyed showing incoming students the beauty of New England’s mountains. After graduation, Jacob moved to southern Utah to begin working as a community health worker for local low-income patients. Jacob took the MCAT examination during his post-grad year and scored a 525 (100th percentile). Now, Jacob is continuing his work as a community health worker and is completing his medical school application process.
Jacob tutored local students in Concord while in high school on study skills and course material. In college, Jacob often explained difficult course material to classmates so that they could successfully complete their assignments. Jacob’s core strength involves tutoring for the MCAT examination, since he just recently completed his study regimen. He is eager to share his study strategies, advice on staying emotionally healthy throughout the taxing preparation process, and expertise on the underlying MCAT material.
In Jacob’s spare time, you can find him baking (he recently baked his sister’s wedding cake) or spending time in the beautiful southern Utah outdoors.
