Matthew grew up in Carpinteria, CA and received his undergraduate degree at Vassar College. He pursued a double concentration in biochemistry and Chinese, and he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa Society and Sigma Xi upon graduation. After spending two years studying the effects of fasting on immunology at the National Institutes of Health, he began studying at Georgetown University School of Medicine.
Throughout his schooling, Matthew has been excited about mentoring and tutoring students. In addition to being a Student Fellow and tour guide in college, he has experience tutoring for the New York Mathematics Regents Exam (Algebra 2/Trigonometry). With Cambridge Coaching, Matthew specializes in biology, chemistry, and supporting students with building strong study skills and habits.
In his free time, Matthew enjoys hiking and cooking. He also likes reading books in Mandarin to keep up his Chinese skills.
