Pooja grew up in Madison, WI. She has been interested in school for as long as she can remember; her greatest ambition in middle school was to read all the books in the library. This ambition sent her to MIT for her bachelor’s, where she majored in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, Pooja worked at Barclays Bank in New York City for their Not-For-Profit Healthcare Investment Banking group before earning her Masters in Science in Engineering Management from UW-Madison. She then pivoted to corporate innovation and corporate venture capital -- most recently, Pooja ran a corporate-backed accelerator for insurance-focused startups.
As Pooja developed her skills in different academic and professional contexts, the throughline has been her passion for education, whether it’s tutoring calculus or teaching practical business skills. She’s been a mentor for startups and young professionals in the investment banking space as well as a tutor and teaching assistant in mechanical engineering. To boot, Pooja has tutoring mathematics privately for 10 years, and enjoys helping students of all ages fall in love with the subject. At Cambridge Coaching, Pooja specializes in GRE and GMAT test prep, along with mathematics academic tutoring.
When she’s not reading, Pooja enjoys photography, traveling, hiking, and baking -- she’s always looking for taste-testers!
